On 2/8, #LACoFD firefighters responded to a commercial structure fire directly across the street from Fire Station 30.
A firefighter on duty at the station saw smoke coming from the building and initiated the response, enabling a swift response time.

Remembering Fire Captain Steven McCann
Today marks the four-year anniversary of the line of duty death of #LACoFD Fire Captain Steven McCann.
Captain McCann’s courage, commitment, and ultimate sacrifice have not been forgotten.

On 1/22, the City of Agoura Hills hosted Assembly District 42 Community Excellence Awards.
#LACoFD AFC Drew Smith & Captain Malcolm Dicks were recognized by Assemblymember J. Irwin. Chief Smith received the Man of the Year Award & Captain Dicks received an Assembly Resolution.
Today, #LACoFD personnel, retirees, relatives & friends of retired Fire Chief John W. Englund gathered together for a recognition ceremony & lunch in his honor.
It was a great day celebrating his 33 years of fire service leadership, many accomplishments & sharing stories highlighting his legacy.

It’s that time of year as #LACoFD FFs are preparing for their annual division FS inspections.
From January - March, assistant fire chiefs conduct inspections at our 176 FS w/a focus on building & safety, apparatus & records.

Effective today, Aaron D. Katon joins the #LACoFD Communications Division as the fire captain assigned to lead the Public Information Office/Special Events Section.
Captain Katon replaces Sheila Kelliher-Berkoh who retired last fall.

It is w/a heavy heart the #LACoFD shares the active duty death of Information Technology Manager I Brett “Tony” Sereno.
Tony worked in the Info. Mgmt. Div. w/5 years of dedicated service to the LACoFD & 14 total years w/LA County.
We extend our condolences & prayers to the Sereno family.

Early this morning, #LACoFD FFs responded to a commercial building fire in Baldwin Park. FFs arrived on scene to heavy smoke showing from a commercial strip mall. Knockdown was achieved in just over an hour. No reported injuries; cause is under investigation.
Today the #LACoFD, Stentorians &labor partners joined Sup. Holly Mitchell & the community to honor the life & legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
It was a great day spent w/community reflecting on Dr. King’s accomplishments & celebrating his dream of racial harmony, equality & justice for all.
Today, we pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., acknowledging his significant contributions to the advancement of civil rights, racial equality, and equity.
