Barely
I spent most of last year editing dialog on that game. And yes, damn good cover.
Yeah, I'm building a new pedalboard, had one open space so I added the DC2.
The DC2 is so nice. I have the bigger brother of that delay pedal and love it. I imagine the compact version is excellent as well.
Time to open these Ableton projects I haven’t looked at in 3 weeks
I would
Yeah, but then you have to leave your house. And who wants to do that?
I tried playing it for the first time yesterday. Not sure I can get into it. But I’m a high maintenance gamer.
I’m taking a 3 week holiday break. I think I probably need 10 weeks to get through my over-the-holiday chore list!
Well, if you had an issue with that mic stand you’d be happy to get that 7am call
I always wished the ProQ could be a character EQ too. And now it is.
I upgraded as soon as I woke up yesterday. Don’t even read up on new features. I use Pro Q every day. I tested it yesterday. Def a big upgrade. Love the warm character mode. And the spectral stuff is such a big addition.
“Hey Chuck, it’s Brian from Sweetwater. Just wanted to see how those guitar picks you bought last year are working out for you.”
The book is a great holiday gift for the deadbeat creative in your life. Or just get it for yourself.
Damn man. Sorry to hear that. Hope you’re feeling better already.
Timeless 3 was the same with me. It’s so deep that I never used it until I went in and set up some basics starting presets. Now It’s usually the first delay I grab.
I upgraded Pro R a while back. Don’t use it much. But, if I can spend some time setting up my own basic presets for it (like my plate, my hall, etc). It would probably be one of my goto verbs. Right now, I’m using Izotope Aura like 85% of the time.
I upgraded immediately upon waking up today. Didn’t even read up on new features. This is the only plugin that I use ever single day. On both work projects and my personal music projects.
I think every kid’s first word is “again”
I was eating pizza for lunch and started to wonder what the political landscape of Italy was like post WWII. This is how my brain works.
What’s a vacation? 😂
I have it. And the audiobook actually. But, while I love his insight, it’s a pretty oddly written book! I find it really hard to follow without getting distracted. I need to try again.
I saw this post by Rick Rubin the other day. And this actually something I discovered myself recently. I’ve been working on a lot of music the last 6 months. And I recently figured out that the act of just working on it has had such a profound effect on my life. The output doesn’t matter.
But, at the same time, I’ve also forced myself to sit down and create music every hour that I’m not doing client work the last 6 months. Even when I’m not in a creative zone. I’ve forced myself to sit down and do it. And it’s actually been therapeutic. So, I guess I don’t know what I want!
Man, I know that feeling. I’ve been so happy this year mostly editing dialog, which I find easier than having to constantly create things from scratch. Last few sound design jobs were like: Here’s an asset list. Design 10 custom SFX and get them back to us in 8 hours. Doing that daily destroyed me.
Wait, it’s a musical? I thought it was porn?
