Went for a walk round a graveyard on my own ๐Ÿ‘ป in the moonlight ๐ŸŒœ saw a bat ๐Ÿฆ‡ got soaked with rain ๐ŸŒง and now I just need to cast a spell that wards children off approaching my house for my #Halloween task list to be complete ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ

I nearly forgot, but thankfully didn't
.. lunar eclipse above Herm ๐ŸŒš It looked way better with my eyes than via photos, but I'm sure lots of people will have captured good images. A cloud has covered over now, which I'm hoping means the bad omens don't count and the crops will be fine ๐Ÿ˜†

Before and after (nearly 3 years after!). The hedge is still a work in progress, but the rotten soffits have been replaced, the house has been patched up and painted and the drain pipework has now all been lined and/or replaced. I am ready for you this year, winter! ๐Ÿค

I really enjoyed the BBC series, Human ๐Ÿ‘ So much more is known about our evolution now compared with when I was at school, thanks to archaeologists around the world, and that knowledge will only keep on growing!

Dear old outside light, it's time to say goodbye to your spot on the wall, which has been taken up by your (less flaky) replacement that has been waiting for about a year for its time to shine (in a box in my garage). A long awaited changing of the guard ๐Ÿ˜„

I saw a hare for the first time in my life (42 years and counting) on a trip to Ireland in May ๐Ÿ‡ We don't have hares in Guernsey, so it was extra exciting for me ๐Ÿคฉ

I'm a bit worried that if the chap doing work on my house fits much more in this tonne bag it might distort the space-time continuum! ๐Ÿ˜† Top score in tonne bag tetris๐Ÿ†

Quite pleased with how my latest pallet planter has turned out ๐Ÿคฉ worth all the sawing effort! I just need to fill in the bits I missed painting and then work out how to line it (it's due to be an aquatic planter) ๐ŸŒฟ

#NoMowMay posts have reminded me to provide an update on my no mow (ever) lawn. It's looking lush and starting to flower โ˜˜๏ธ The clover has pushed out some of the thyme but the chamomile is holding its ground ๐Ÿ‘ I have to keep pulling out grass ๐Ÿ‘Ž (also, I need some sort of "hedge in progress" sign ๐Ÿ˜…)

Stop Cruel Imports | UK animal welfare Stop Cruel Imports petition calls the UK Government to require imported animal products to meet the UK animal welfare standards.

We import animal products from all over the world into #Guernsey. I wonder what kind of life (and death) all those animals had? www.stopcruelimports.uk
