sucks a lot of the fun out of it and only having 5 zones to really get into it and none of those zones setting up what is supposed to be the villain or backstories for the NPCs which makes the increased focus on story fall a little flat. but hey the parts where you do puzzles and shoot are cool
the parts where you are not on the bike are solid metroid prime action (although not a great improvement which is disappointing after such a long wait you can really feel the development restart) but going through a barren desert being forced to hit every green crystal to get a real ending-
starting with this one is insane. 7/10 which just hurts to say after the wait and with how much I love metroid. oddly the kind of trope-y NPCs dont really hurt the experience, more just an evolution from prime 3, but the “open world” setup definitely did
