That’s some cool history. Tamabochimae was changed to “Tama station” as of only 2001, fairly recent in oji-san years ;) Incidentally, Tama River trail is an excellent skate!

Not sure if your past was classical or jazz, but there's a friendly group at the "Couth Buzzard" bookstore (N. 85th and Greenwood) some Sunday afternoons that holds low key, no-attitude jazz/blues jams. I've known a good number of comeback players who rebooted at the Couth.

I've also experienced driver hell with past Linux installs, but a recent recovery of a dead Windows Lenovo Yoga laptop with Ubuntu Studio went exceptionally well...

Not sure how high-powered you're needing but I recently saved/converted a Lenovo laptop, wiping Windows in favor of Ubuntu studio which has been blazingly faster.

On FB I see the same circle of friends liking posts only, out of a 1,400+ sized list. There's got to be an algorithmic hole Zuckerberg drops anti-Trumpers into, given his public admonishment of SJW's on FB since he went hardcore Trump fluffer. Thankfully my Threads will die soon.
