Blaze the Cat

“Thank you! Absolutely.” Her head was still swimming a little. She took his palm with hers and hoisted herself up.

“I do believe so. I can’t even remember the last time I was awake.. it’s quite worrisome.”

Blaze gingerly kicked her feet off of her bed and lazily stretched her arms out.
“Wow, I must’ve slept longer than I thought.” She mused to herself.

Getting up seemed to be the next struggle.

“Yeah, let’s head off.”

“I can’t go back!!”

“Arson.” She replied dead serious before cracking a smile at her joke.

“I love you too, dear.” She grinned, “So much!”

“This is nice, Sonikku.” She nuzzled his face with hers.

“I, myself, transform with the power of the Sol Emeralds. But I doubt it’s anything like that…?”

“Oh, come here dearest.” Blaze opens her arms for an embrace.

“Oh that does sound intriguing.”

“Oh? You can talk?”

“I’ve been quite busy. I missed you as well.” Blaze spoke with a smile. “Have you been up to anything interesting?”

The two stood there embracing each other and quietly sobbing together.

“I know, love. I know.” She tries to comfort him by rubbing his back while holding back tears of her own.

Blaze hugs him back and notices his tears, “Don’t be sad, my love. It doesn’t fit you.” She tried to joke.

She chuckled in her sadness, “You never fail to make me feel better…” Blaze let her thoughts wander.

“I’m… sorry, Sonic.” She blinked away the tears trying to well up in her eyes as she knew how important this was to him.

“You were probably having a blast and just waiting for me to show up…” Blaze looked away.
