Whenever Shouto gets injured and is tended to by the medics, he misses the instinctive step Katsuki takes towards his direction before the blonde forcibly stops himself from moving forward and instead heads in the opposite direction.

Exes bktd on a mission together and habits are hard to break.

Katsuki's eyes always on the lookout for the candycane bastard and Shouto taking comfort in the deafening explosions from Katsuki's blasts because it means he's still safe and alive.

A snippet from the story reads: Kissing Keiji has become a habit for Kōtarō. He kisses Keiji first thing in the morning, when his alarm goes off and he rolls out of bed. “Morning,” he mumbles into Keiji’s ear. “How’d you sleep, my love?” Keiji, though, grumbles and reaches for Kōtarō with grabby hands, tugging him close and pressing their mouths together again. “Mm,” he says. “Better now that I get more snuggle time with you.” Kōtarō has to get up: he has to go for his run, he has to get ready for practice, for his day. But because Keiji’s there and he’s so soft, so surly in the morning, Kōtarō can’t help but snuggle back against him for a few more minutes. When it’s time to leave, Keiji hands Kōtarō his protein shake and his lunch, and kisses him goodbye. “Have a good day, Darling,” he murmurs. “Go bust some volleyballs up today.” “You bet I will!” Kōtarō exclaims.

It fucking hurts, recalling how terrible he’d been to Izuku all those years. No one would understand the mental anguish he’d put the other through better than himself for he’s now feeling every bit of pain that he’d callously inflicted on his childhood friend.

He wonders how it would be, to wake up one day to smooth, dewy skin. How would it feel to have Katsuki touch his unblemished face and smile that cocky smile of his? As if the sun rises and sets in his eyes. As if he's proud to have a beautiful man by his side, one who's unmarred by a hideous scar.
