Corporate America was always ready to bend the knee to MAGA - the CEO class - largely straight, conservative, white men - is deeply unrepresentative of the rest of America.
Corporations are not people & they definitely are not allies of liberal democracy. More like a large, dangerous power tool in the shop. Useful in the right hands, even necessary for production at scale, but inherently dangerous such that robust safeguards for user protection are fully warranted.
