Bean said IHA offices close noon on Dec. 23 and are closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, but open Dec. 26.

Tabitha Smith is now handling both property management and maintenance operations, Bean said.

A year-end team meeting will occur Dec. 19, Bean said, to highlight recent successes and to recognize employees.

The Lilly Foundation has contributed $16,000 to IHA to help residents, Bean said, and a planning group is working to determine how it can best benefit residents.

Bean has begun her CEO's Report by saying she is encouraged by the high level of support received by HUD. Specifically she mentioned HUD funding of subject-matter experts assisting local personnel as well as HUD personnel that show up locally to help.

Wize asked if any written comments were submitted; Bean indicated none.

Bean presented an annual plan that Bean said was needed to meet HUD requirements. Bean explained that the Oct. 18 deadline has passed, but due to it falling on a weekend and due to the government shutdown, it was not possible to submit on time. Nevertheless it was still required to be submitted.

The board has approved the budget.

Consultants at the far end of the meeting room stand individually and introduce themselves to the board.

Wize recognized a group of consultants who helped create the budget. About five stood individually and introduced themselves to the board.

Wize commented that upon joining IHA and asking for prior year budgets, much work was yet to be done. Wize congratulated Bean and others who worked to create the current presented budget. "Our budget is not perfect, but it accurately reflects where we are and where we want to go," Wize said.

The IHA annual operating budget was presented by Bean in a document packet shared with Wize and read out loud by Bean.

Similarly Bean asked for ratification of contracted work for snow removal at IHA priorities, which was approved.

Bean also asked for ratification of contracted work to service elevators and a dumbwaiter. Bean explained the contacted work was less than the amount requiring board approval, but said it was good practice to get board approval. The work was approved.

The first new business included approval of procedures for housing vouchers.

The sign-up sheets for public comment were blank, and there was no public comment.

The minutes were approved.

Bean confirmed the meeting had been posted in accordance with open door meeting law.
