I welcome the opportunity to address the concerns of all who call the great state of Alabama home. President Trump campaigned on eliminating wasteful federal spending and providing transparency to Americans about where their tax dollars are spent. During the Biden administration, we saw our hard-earned dollars spent without any accountability and limited oversight. DOGE was created to disassemble government bureaucracy, cut excess regulations, and rebuild trust in American federal agencies. In President Trump's first day in office he signed an executive order creating DOGE. The Establishing And Implementing The President's "Department of Government Efficiency" executive order clearly outlines its goals and function within our government. The order states that DOGE will modernize federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity. President Trump has selected Elon Musk to head this department and I join them both in their desire to shrink the federal government through strong congressional action. I look forward to seeing Elon Musk and DOGE bring back honesty and accountability to our federal agencies. Thank you for taking the time to contact me.
