The answer is racism.
This is a kick in the teeth to generations of creatives who have poured their hearts and souls into projects at Disney and should raise serious concerns about anyone working with any division of Disney ever again, including Marvel.
Just really sucks that so many of us are barely getting by (if that), and the people who stole from us are rewarded with billions. It's hard to put into words how demoralising that is.
