Of course, those in Lebanon are not inherently more or less valuable than anyone else who is suffering or dying.
Every life is a universe unto itself. Every life has inherent value and the erasure of any life is an incomprehensible crime, a historic tragedy.
I wish we could tell the individual story of every 773 of the people killed in Lebanon over the last 12 days, particularly the 103 children.
A WHO report from Nov 2024 showed that more healthcare workers had proportionally been killed in Lebanon than Ukraine and Gaza.
The war crimes accumulate and accumulate and accumulate.
Israel’s Arabic language spokesperson has accused Hezbollah of transporting weapons in ambulances & threatened to target them.
There is no provided evidence of this but there is evidence of Israel killing medics, doctors, nurses, first responders and medical infrastructure.
ICYMI, today Israel dropped two sets of leaflets on Lebanon, one which refers to the "outstanding success in Gaza," carrying an implicit threat for the country and another which calls on people to effectively report on each other and share intel with IDF Unit 504.

A loud boom over #Beirut was heard in Hamra. Either this was an attack, or we're back at this level of psychological warfare where #Israeli warplanes start breaking the sound barrier regularly over the heads of over 2 million Lebanese in the capitol.

#Israel just attacked „Al Ramlet El Baida“, #Beiruts public beach area. So far there have been reports of many injuries and more than 8 deaths. This is a public beach where people stroll the seaside and where many displaced people who couldn’t find shelter slept. This is pure horror.
Even more frightening, as Lebanese ministries announce, all 4 wounded victims of this blatant attack are reportedly civilians. This reminds me of AI-based warfare, with all its mistakes at the cost of human lives that @justinsalhani.bsky.social explained in his latest piece @thedialmag.bsky.social.
