Funny thing is ... the Aces showed their asses too. And the thing about me is that my sports fandom (or any fandom) won't stick around for bullshit. And so by 2025, I had again followed beloved players (and a coach) to another WNBA fandom.
I HATED Laimbeer, but I fucking adored A'ja, Jackie, Dearica, KMac, and later Chelsea Gray became my favourite player. Then A'ja spent 5 years growing into the 🐐 and by the time she scored 53 points, it felt both inevitable and electrifying. I loved it.
