Hello from the ICOS Atmosphere station Mace Head in Ireland! πŸ‘‹ Our crew visited this unique coastal site, where some of the cleanest Atlantic air is measured, to film for the #ExploreICOS series. Stay tuned!

@sindurp.bsky.social & Simone Sabbatini presented ICOS & the Horizon Europe project #NUBICOS at #GEOForum in Rome!

Their presentation detailed how in situ data are complementary to satellite data, and outlined how NUBICOS works towards new Ecosystem variables for satellite calibration/validation.

#ExploreICOS with us

Our wonderful Comms team worked on the @icos-ri.eu website during the past weeks. Now you can explore our infrastructure much better and also get an overview of our projects on #GHG #climate #carbon #science.

Because of different sensitivities and feedbacks in the climate system, there's essentially a linear relationship between cumulative COβ‚‚ emissions and global warming that we call Transient Climate Response to Emissions (TCRE).

If we want global warming to stop increasing we must stop COβ‚‚ emissions.
