I brought the issue of maternal mortality to Congress & will continue the fight.

The Global Gag Rule forces providers abroad to choose between receiving U.S. funds to reach more people or offering full health services.

This rule’s expansion will further strip women and girls of lifesaving health care.

We’re fighting back against this attack on global health.

Yesterday was the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and we were with the leadership of @ppfa.org to talk about the fight ahead. 

We stand shoulder to shoulder with the leaders and advocates who refuse to back down in the fight for reproductive justice. Because, healthcare is a human right. 💕

Today is the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. How are House Republicans celebrating? By voting on bills to further ERODE reproductive freedom and push their extreme, anti-choice agenda.

It’s time to restore Roe and codify reproductive rights for all.

Today would have marked 53 years since Roe v. Wade affirmed the constitutional right to abortion.

Instead, we’re still fighting for the rights generations before us already secured.

I won’t stop until every person has full control over their own body and future.

Roe v. Wade affirmed a simple truth: decisions about our bodies belong to us. A right that was secured—and then stripped away.

On the anniversary of the decision, I recommit to fighting for reproductive freedom and access to care for all.

Today marks the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade and four years since the right to choose was overturned. I’m proud that Illinois remains a safe haven for reproductive rights. I met with Planned Parenthood to discuss how we can work together to protect and expand reproductive freedom for everyone.

53 years ago, the Supreme Court affirmed women's constitutional right to make their own reproductive health care decisions in Roe v. Wade. That right was infringed upon when the Court made the drastic & dangerous decision to overturn the landmark case in 2023, sowing chaos & devastation nationwide.

But the right-wing Supreme Court stripped away that right—ignoring the right to privacy in the Constitution and the precedent of the Court laid out in the Roe v. Wade decision.

Today we should be celebrating the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Instead, we now live in a world where Trump, Republicans, and a right-wing Supreme Court stripped away rights from Americans.

Every woman, in every state, should be able to make their own health care decisions.

Americans deserve the right to make decisions about their own bodies, and we must fight to restore the protections of Roe.

53 years ago, Roe v. Wade finally recognized a fundamental right: women have the freedom to make their own health care decisions without government interference.

But today, even after Dobbs reversed Roe, Rs continue to try to strip that freedom away.

We must restore & enshrine Roe in federal law.

I stand with @reprocaucus.bsky.social and I will not stop fighting back against Republicans' push toward a nationwide abortion ban. Every woman in every zip code across our nation, regardless of their circumstance or income, deserves access to abortion care.

This doesn’t have to be our reality. My bill, the Women’s Health Protection Act, would restore the right to abortion care nationwide and ensure that patients and providers can make lifesaving medical decisions without fear of prosecution.
