everything reminds me of them

recently i somehow managed to play ace attorney without ever having been spoiled on anything.
it's a really fun game… i really liked it

two comic panels. in the first panel, a girl wearing a yellow bandana says "Gee, I don't know, uh… Give it to charity? Solve world hunger and homelessness, stuff like that." in the second panel, a witch appears behind her and yells "Aw, BOOOOOO" while giving the girl two thumbs-downs. the girl looks extremely annoyed.

this is probably my favorite thing i drew in '24

the first of two pages of a kirby comic. panel 1: an establishing shot of the halberd at night, and a sleigh parked on a neaby cliff. panel 2: king dedede, dressed as santa claus, slowly creaks a door open inside the halberd. it's fairly dark. panel 3: dedede continues to stand by the doorway, and two waddle dees dressed as reindeer holding a lantern catch up to him and slightly illuminate the room. "Huh", he thinks to himself. panel 4: dedede and the waddle dees enter the room. dedede stares at an empty bed with bat-patterned covers and thinks, "He's not here."

the second and final page of the comic. panel 1: the three exit the room, leaving a present behind. dedede thinks to himself, "…Knowing him, he's probably getting some late-night training in." panel 2: on his way out, dedede can be seen passing by the doorway of a slightly lit room. panel 3: dedede can no longer be seen from the lit room's doorway. panel 4: dedede returns to the lit room's doorway to get a better look. he looks extremely surprised. panel 5: dedede, still looking extremely surprised, is revealed to be looking at meta knight eating a parfait in his kitchen. meta knight is staring back at him, looking equally surprised.

for a kirby-themed secret santa event

a comic featuring a ghost, a witch, a bat and a jack-o-lantern walking in the snow. there are pine trees in the background. panel 1: the witch, while pointing at the ghost, says "Oh, Graves, maybe you'd know this." and the ghost says "What?" panel 2: the witch asks, "Is it true that Santa Claus is something of an urban legend to humans?" panel 3: the ghost looks confused as he repeats "…Urban Legend." panel 4: the witch says, "Yeah, like Bigfoot an' Bloody Mary an' all that. A big worldwide phenomenon where people spread and twist rumors about him…", and the jack-o-lantern continues, "…And there's a big discussion around whether or not he really exists."

panel 1: the ghost pauses for a moment. panel 2: the ghost says "…Uhh, when you put it like that, sure, Santa Claus is an urban legend. (Emphasis on 'legend'.)" panel 3: the ghost continues, "But really, only little kids discuss his existence. After a certain age, you get picked on for believing in him." panel 4: the jack-o-lantern asks, "You get picked on for being right?" and the ghost replies as dramatically as possible with "Story of my life, Jack." panel 5: the witch puts her right arm around the ghost and pokes his face with her left index finger as she asks, "Did YOU believe in Santa Claus, Graves?". the ghost replies "Oh, sure, but from a purely philosophical standpoint."

panel 1: the ghost says, "Y'know how Pascal's Wager concludes that the gain from believing in god and there really being one is infinitely greater than the gain from not believing and there not being one?". there are three art pieces in the background. panel 2: the witch and the bat look at the jack-o-lantern inquisitively, but he just shrugs. panel 3: the witch says "…Yeah?" panel 4: the ghost says "That, but with Santa Claus." and everyone else gives him a weird look. the art pieces in the background appear again, this time with crudely drawn santa claus apparel drawn on them.
