If anyone ever needs proof that divine protection is real: last night had I streamed I would not have a home. Around 9pm I heard a pop and fizz like a sprinkler coming on, and was sitting on my floor pulling cards to see the “ash” card appear. I had asked for what I needed to know right then and uh

I’ve had a lot of loved ones die over the last 2 decades, I’ve learned that there’s no point in keeping my rhetorical powder dry. If something sucks I’d rather say it and maybe upset someone than die and regret never getting it out there and maybe effecting some change in a positive direction.

This is by no means an exhaustive list because I’m not perfect by any means. If anyone out there has similarly experienced interpersonal abuse, feel free to add things that work for you to the list 🖤✨🫂

- nervous system de-escalation: practicing techniques to calm and ground myself when I feel the spiral coming

- not keeping up with people who are keeping up with those spaces

- taking mixed signals as a “no” the first time

- learning how to work with my body’s rhythms

- grieving long + hard

08.03.2025 15:44 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

- not engaging with people who are determined to paint the people that hurt me in the best light possible (I already overthink enough)

- exercise (when appropriate)

- practicing cultivating a sense of trust in forces outside me (prayer)

- lots of exposure to food, nature, scenes of power

recovering from intense interpersonal abuse has looked like:

- focusing on my hobbies in moments where I can’t stop feeling angry about what happened to me not having any justice done

- taking lots of long slow walks alone or with my dad

- letting friendships that are judgy fall away

Having a really hard time functioning at all amidst all of the world events + my own personal conundrums. I have no idea if it’s just me, or if everyone is collectively here too, but it feels very strange to have nothing that sparks even an iota of joy or interest

I have watched so many Scandinavian crime shows I feel like I am a depressed detective with a dark past battling alcoholism with a family life that is falling apart due to the long hours I work obsessively hunting down some dude in a knitted sweater.

Finding moments of happiness in this wild world has been tricky tbh, but family, friends, art, food, games and stories have helped quite a bit.

Been getting more hyped about personal art! In particular oils! Oh and got manga paper to hopefully get started on telling my own stories!!

Very nearly forgot to post this one- but my mother accidentally dosed my sweet little dog’s eyeballs with superglue instead of his medicated eyedrops- and so this piece was born of my resulting anguish. Things are looking up now, but at first it was quite horrifying

How a Canadian scientist and a venomous lizard helped pave the way for Ozempic - National | Globalnews.ca In 1984, Dr. Daniel Drucker, an endocrinologist from the University of Toronto, discovered a hormone that helped pave the way for popular diabetes drugs such as Ozempic.

Whenever you hear someone sneer about scientific research that seems useless to them — “they’re studying the spit of lizards?!” — remind them that’s exactly how we got Ozempic.

As a former member of this field, all I can say is I am sickened that an industry that is already thankless is now being even more horribly ravaged by these policies. These are, unquestionably, America’s darkest hours.
