I could definitely imagine the in-universe setup for this, maybe Luke lost a bet to Juliet who's behind the metaphorical camera, and Melody's being supportive lol

I could also imagine that while Melody's wearing a costume and Luke's paws are fake, his tails and ears are actually him subtle shifting
