I get what you're saying but he was the main antagonist of the season. He was causing conflict and opposing the vast majority of our cast.
I guess I'm referring to how people think of protagonist, which is the heroic main character of the story. Which right now? Is not Charlie. She just started it.

Noooo.... Vox is definitely the antagonist of season 2. But yeah, 8 episodes isn't a lot of time to focus on everyone's individual arcs.

None of this justifies her actions but she's super naive. She has compassion, but no basis for empathy. She has drive but no clear direction on the HOW. She's experiencing all of this for the first time and CAN NOT COPE. She grows a little, then something big happens that crushes

Ok guys, hear me out. Charlie is not our protagonist. She is merely the catalyst for what happens in the show. She has never had to experience hardship first hand. She's obsessed with her mother and the legacy of her mother. She is going through development like everyone else.
