Shamrock Court Historic Shamrock Court Motel located on Route 66 in Sullivan, Missouri.

I've been following the restoration of Shamrock Court for a few years now, and am excited that it opens before our next #Route66 adventure! Another piece of nostalgia brought back to life!

Did you know the shortest stretch of #Route66 is in Kansas? Do you like Pixar's Cars? Take a drive into #Galena and you'll find a "Sheriff" signed by Michael Wallis, and the inspiration for Mater at the restored Kan-O-Tex service station.

Am I the only person who WANTS to be on jury duty? I would love to serve on a jury.

I got a summons last month, and was selected, but didn't end up having to report at all. Called in twice, and then they released me. Oh well, better luck next time, I guess.

The abandoned Fort Courage in Houck, AZ on #Route66 . Inspired by F Troop, it closed in 2014. Once boasting a trading post, gas station, coffee house, pancake house, motel units, trailer park & campground - it now lays dormant; slowly decaying.

Let's start with the ICONIC Twin Arrows. Sadly, one arrow fell in January 2022 - mere weeks after this photo was taken. Seeing the arrows for the first time in person was nothing short of amazing.

We did a very fast partial Route 66 trip for our honeymoon. Drove straight to Santa Monica pier by interstate & followed 66 all the way to TX before having to hit the interstate back home. Will be doing 2.5 weeks, the full route from IL to CA & back, in a little under a year from now. I can't wait!
