of course what I have probably isnt accurate, I am simply using the app DuckDuckGo, and occasionally Proton VPN, and there is probably more tracking happening behind the scenes, but still, it makes me uncomfortable just how much they're trying to grab of, not just me, but everyone.

an argument could be made that "well everything tracks you these days so what does it matter" but we really should question how normalize and compliant we are going to end up if we continue to allow these business to track us.

i ran a few more tests on other apps. Twitter tracks same stuff but also gender and is partnered with google. Discord tracks biometric data, which yea but considering they had a fucking DATA LEAK with ppl's ids, I would be carefule with that.

The account will remain up for awhile, just to see if i can follow the artists on here on other platforms, but otherwise I'm no longer going to be using this app for my own privacy safety.

it's just sad I wont be able to see my fav artist on here anymore but the constant tracking attempts this company makes is very concerning, and I can no longer use it in good concious.

so with that being said, I sent a feedback to the bluesky team, but I doubt anything will be done about it. I will no longer be using bluesky effective immediately as even Instagram and Threads doesnt even do all this bs.

If you use this platform you are being actively tracked. I'm lucky in the sense that I have a vpn and duckduckgo to help try and block these trackers, but I get notified constantly when a tracking attempt is made.
