peacemaker season 2 (10/9/25)

that was one of the most emotionally harrowing pieces of superhero media ive ever experienced. i cried at least once per episode. john cena turns in a ridiculously good performance. some really fun implications for the wider dcu. super recommend

can't watch the peacemaker finale til ~10 so time to throw my phone into a lake

botw/totk are just sooo special to me 🥹 i get why people are tired of this era of zelda but i could not possibly be more excited for age of imprisonment

funnily enough i feel the same way about modern comics, which is why i've started waiting for trades for a smoother and more economically efficient way of experiencing these stories rather than waiting month to month for them to go anywhere while paying $5 per issue

a common criticisms of ffxiv's storytelling in it's widely-considered weakest portions (arr, stormblood, dawntrail) is the slow burn and while i disagree bc of my aforementioned preferences i understand it more playing dawntrail on release. it takes a lot of irl time and sub money to get anywhere

maybe i'm just colored by my preference for slower burns when it comes to mysteries with extremely wide scopes. could also be colored by the fact that i really don't play many live service games that are also narrative-driven. blatantly unsubtle beats are really useful to hook players in for months

they just introduced this robot girl with amnesia and a dark secret and like 30 seconds after her introduction they're already doing a bunch of shit with said dark secret that you'd think would be a midgame reveal in any other narrative interested in like, stakes and like, buildup

sometimes i watch roan play genshin when new patches drop and this game is so Hype Moments And Aura the video game
