forgot to mention the ff tactics remake style too. that game has a noticeable crunch to it that'd be missing if it was just hd-2d imo

this is also why i'm very happy that the dqvii remake has a unique artstyle, even if i don't personally vibe with the character models. it feels more memorable to me (admittedly, as a dq outsider) than the erdrick trilogy remakes

adventures of elliot looks really good but i'm honestly kinda sad that its hd-2d? not because it looks bad or that i'm tired of the style, but because i miss when hd-2d was octopath's signature artstyle. nowadays it's squenix's go-to with pixel art and i think that robs recent games of some identity

well maybe this should've been expected given that she's an apothecary in an octopath game
