Probably past the expiration date.
Sure enough! Though they look a little less adorable.
Popeye RPG would be sweet. Everyone plays a muscular tough competing to impress the same gal. Sea witches, hamburgers, giant octopi, magical dogs, and names like Poopdeck Pappy.
So much.
Ex. "A character's hit points determine how much damage he can take before dying. Once again, this is the same as in the AD&D game."
It then explains that you get 1d6 hit points per point of constitution, which is not at all like AD&D.
The 4th edition Gamma World rulebook occasionally references AD&D when explaining rules. It's fine shorthand for players of both games, but the information is somewhat barebones for anyone lacking that expertise. Assumed knowledge is not an uncommon pitfall for game designers.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Yeah, I gave a buck to the kids ringing the Salvation Army bell. They were singing terribly, enjoying each other's company, and laughing. A+ for effort on a rainy day.
You and I were in elementary school then. This would have been maybe '98?
I met Gary Gygax at a trade show. We were promoting Ral Partha's Battlestorm and ate hot dogs together.
He talked mostly about boxing. A guy tried to butt in with D&D fan chatter and was dismissed. Gygax then went to a strip club.
My wife is taking her eye exam. The technician paused the test to explain that there are no numbers.
She will definitely be getting glasses today.
Thanks. Your tweak would certainly be an improvement.
I have that problem on Twitter. The feed from people I follow is clogged by relentless retweeting from half-a- dozen people.
That first sentence saddens me in no small way.
Like the books!? That's too good to believe.
Is "Dune: Prophecy" David Lynch "Dune" good or inferior "Dune" good?
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. It is an awful feeling, but I'm thrilled you are not hurt.
Several different groups competing in a shared adventure. Each party is endeavoring to find the same hidden treasure, and the GMs pass notes to one another when the PCs leave a trap to ensnare the other groups.
My wife told me to call the pharmacy. I fell back asleep and dreamt that I'd been put on hold.
It would be cool to run a game based on the Mannequin movies and Today's Special. Either the PCs are (mostly) mannequins who come to life when the store shuts down or, as a one shot, the PCs have to fight off the store mannequins after hours. Either way, I get to play Hollywood.
We had this happen when applying for disability. Every deadline was impossible to meet.
Good to hear. It's the one I bought as a kid, but I've often been tempted to look into 2nd.
I wasn't very happy with one of the games that I've been running even though the players were enjoying it just fine. Partly, I think it's that I was running D&D to satisfy a friend who ended up quitting the game. I've been in the mood for something else. I'm thinking Gamma World.
Oh no! I count on that to keep me from making threats against the antivax crowd.
Oh, down there in the rules! I thought you meant the monster itself.
What's the modern equivalent?
Armatures for Storm (21') and Frost Giants (15'), and Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings (5' and less). As well as a wip Ankheg (10-20' long) and the Troll (9'). The scale is 1 cm:foot. I'm using the art from the 1e MM for reference.
This is too cool!
That's awesome.
