It's official! #aia33 is going to be hosted by Università Sapienza (Roma) in 2027

#aia32 Day 2 starts with Caroline Tagg telling us all about " #Postdigital intimacies in the #Anglosphere: Implications for human connection and English language practices". We may or may not be allowed to check our mobiles during her plenary lecture!

"When we 'were' posthuman. Scanning our lost future?", Rossella Ciocca's plenary, is keeping #aia32 participants on the edge of their seats, both with her words and her visuals!

. @carolosullivan.bsky.social 's plenary, "Researching Audiences for Subtitled Media in the UK," encourages #aia32 participants to reflect on the different audience attitudes and behaviours toward subtitling. The room is packed, and we are all captivated by this insightful and entertaining talk.

#aia32 couldn't have started on a better note! The weather was unexpectedly great, the location fantastic, and the company excellent! Here are some of our pictures. Have a restful night, and see you all tomorrow for the official start of #aia32!

You can enjoy a taste of #AIA32 with welcome drinks at Caffè Reale, Piazzetta Reale 1 (inside the courtyard of the Royal Palace).
Please note that the event is open only to registered participants.

#AIA32 is in 3 DAYS!! Weather info: Conference days are going to be sunny, but nights in Torino can be a bit chilly. The temperature in university rooms might be a bit cool, too, especially if the A/C is on.

Make sure to pack some layers so you stay comfortable. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Radhika Jha, our second plenary speaker, is the author of 5 critically acclaimed books Her novel "Smell" (2001) won the Prix Guerlain in 2002. Jha is also an Indian classical dancer.

Meet our first plenary speaker, Professor ROSSELLA CIOCCA from #unior.
