Xaden seeing her as a whole person and what she CAN do. 🤯 My first read I was caught up in the weak FMC trains to get stronger trope that I totally missed the disability and accommodation vs erasure aspect.

My biggest realization on my FW re-read today is that Violet is disabled. And instead of disability erasure the focus is on accommodations and strengthening what she can. And the dif between Dain and Xaden is Dain only seeing her disability and what she CANNOT do vs

Absolutely flabbergasted and appalled that in 2025 we are still shaming women’s literature. And not just that but WOMEN are still shaming other women’s literature choices.

I am having a blast with this re-read because now EVERYTHING is sus! I’m annotating like crazy!

I finally started my Fourth Wing re-read! The 1st time that I read FW & IF I *devoured* them each in one day. This time I am taking my time to annotate and look for easter eggs that I maybe missed!
