Amanda Gorman, a Los Angeles native and one of the most acclaimed young poets in the country, released a new body of work to support the California Fire Foundation during the battle against several wildfires.

Reading Rexroth's collected shorter poems yesterday and Gander's Mojave Ghost today (two great California poets of our inner and outer worlds) and both use the word "spalling," which I only learned last fall! Also, more geologists should become poets, the vocabulary possibilities are marvelous.
