Writing a story about what it takes to write a front page news story. It's fiction, but the question I'm asking is, 'when is news, news?'

I got in trouble over being too nice to an angry fast food employee. Read about my lessons learned and please vote for me! theunsealed.com/members/gree...

I introduced a plot device and now it's time to use it. But now comes the hard part - I know how the device works, but how will it propel the plot?

Writing the ending of a story is so difficult. Thought I was done, then the person reading it says, "I can't scroll down any further? Is the file corrupted?" Ouch.

Wonderful being at the book launch of Women of Amsterdam at Amsterdam Museum, such inspiring odes to strong women.

I can forgive inefficiency if there's effectiveness at the end of the day, but if both are lacking? Sheesh, you had one job... (Yes, dealing with admin atm)

Sitting at a fast food place. Guy next to me has headphones on, doesn't say anything when the food is brought. Employee goes, "learn some manners!" He doesn't hear her. Oh man, this anonymous world...

Everyone was standing around, several meters from the bus stop. Puzzled. Why no queue? Then I realized: they're waiting at that exact spot to enjoy the sunshine.

City of Glass is so masterful that I've now bought the actual book too. I was engaged, challenged and inspired all at once. Wow, amazing.

It isn't a total failure, it's a temporary hurdle. If enough time passes and you slowly make up for it, it'll work out fine. That's why it's important to realize from the get-go it isn't All or Nothing, it's just a bad day and tomorrow will be better!

Nonfiction 101 class! Most important thing I learned: make sure the character grows from what you're describing. What happens + why?
