Hard to generalize across phenomena and populations but: I always assess education & SES in my research + often (subjective) knowledge etc. I also tend to collect data online, so those older adults are already more tech-savvy than others. Knowledge/literacy do not consistently drive age differences.

In our new paper, @loeckenhoff.bsky.social and I examine why older adults are more likely to avoid making decisions.

We find that a writing intervention makes choosing less taxing and stressful (yay us!), but does not decrease avoidance tendencies (boo!).
