I think the Creed movies are not bad, they do their own thing. Creed 2 gives a great sense of closure to something from Rocky 4 which I really loved. My only real issue with them is the boxing matches are cgi and it's just jarring and takes you out of it.

One scene that lives in infamy for sure, once they get through the opening it gets back to proper rocky. Maybe the closest it gets to 1? You can see stallone wanting to recapture that magic.

I would recommend 1 and four, two and three aren't as good but they solidify apollo creed and why rocky goes to fight drago in four. Tonally they are wildly different from the first, four just really gets you into it.
