Took a short evening paramotor flight a few miles upwind this evening. When I got back, I saw my friend Gaff videoing me as he was walking home from the hangar, so I did a flyby.

The ground between my camper and the landing areas finally dried up enough to ride the Onewheel on, and we finally got an evening with manageable winds, so for the first time in over two months, I took the paramotor up for a flight.

I'm also 150 on an atom. I think the Piper I was flying was an 18m, which would definitely require more juice.

I didn't read that as mean at all. When these winds die down, I'm gonna head to the beach and try an efficiency flight, while praying that those making our world shittier get what they deserve sooner rather than later.

2L/hour on a Piper? I'm sure I burned a bit over 3L/h the few times I flew a Piper with my Atom80. And that was at sea level along Galveston Island in the winter. What motor you flying?

I'm calling this one "Pollination."

Code-generated artwork. Bright, colorful diamonds radiate from the center in a phyllotaxic growth pattern, similar to the growth of a sunflower's center or peyote cactus. Upon each diamond shape is superimposed a smaller diamond shape with what at first glance may seem like a random color, but the smaller diamond's colors are related by their positions on the clockwise and anti-clockwise positions on the spirals. Wow! 6:30 am and 16 degrees outside, and I still have running water in the camper! I'm honestly amazed, since the fresh water tank hangs exposed under the trailer and at least three feet of vinyl hose is exposed before running into the insulation. I get to shower before going outside!

10:30pm and it's 24 and dropping. Input tank full, output tank empty, faucet dripping and cabinet open and fingers crossed. If it still freezes, I can pour hot water on the hose bib and hook the hose up in the morning. Worst case: sponge bath.

Nope. Never been married and rarely been in a sustained relationship. I tried a few times when I was younger and decided that I'd wait until I found the one I couldn't resist. Not really looking anymore, because I'm so habitually me that I can't imagine having to morph into an "us."

I bet that's historic for that area. I saw a photo from I-10 near Tallahassee today, and it looked miserable. They ain't got resources for that kinda weather there, I imagine.

I like the HRRR (high resolution rapid refresh) model, as it seems to be the more consistently accurate one, in my experience. Hopefully, that proves true tomorrow in the wee hours. I'd like to wake up with running water in my camper.

About four hours later than usual, but I finally convinced Bela to go outside and get her business done despite the snow. It was either that or try to convince her to do it in the shower pan.

It's time to go for the morning poop/pee walk, but as soon as I opened the door, Bela made it clear that she would rather just hold it for now. It's her first time seeing snow up close, and I'd been wondering if she'd like snow. Guess not.

For a few seconds there, I thought you might've had a slight tailwind, but maybe that's just the weird way those 360 cameras make things look. Sure seemed like quite a workout, nevertheless.

Lol, I wasn't going to watch this, because I was in the middle of watching a friend's podcast on youtube. But then I noticed this video was in the right sidebar there. Guess I'm gonna watch it now. I was daydreaming (again) about building a van today, after all.

I gave my dog, Bela, one of my honey lemon menthol cough drops, figuring she'd hate it and stop hovering near me asking for one. She's over on the bed crunching on it now, presumably about to come ask for another one. Ugh.
