A fantastic evening yesterday - women coming together to discuss tackling London's cycling gender gap 🚲 🚲

This was the first time the LCC Women's Network has convened its associate member organisations. Watch out London, and watch this space... 👀

In Wales, Cornwall, Edinburgh, London and so many places when most 30mph roads were changed to 20mph, people injured or killed by motor vehicles reduced by 20%+. With minimal change to journey times and £2bn saving in insurance costs it's a huge win. bit.ly/4gIBPlJ

I think it's always interesting to reframe stats to the cost of NOT doing the thing.

The council's director's decision comments that an exemption to the banned turn can be considered - that's not an actual decision.

On the good news front, there is apparently a cycle track scheme between Upper Brentwood Road and the Ring Road being designed - this could be transformational!

Cycle helmets should forever be optional but I now think capes should be compulsory 😀

If that were to happen then it would not be too difficult just to put some old newspaper on the floor before placing the bike.

Otherwise you'd have to stand on the sofa to mount the bike.
