A tabby cat sleeping on a red couch. Also on the couch is a knitting project, a blanket and the knee of the photographer is also visible.

My cat Ghengis Khan is... special. He just cried out because he couldn't get out of the bathroom - the door was only /almost/ closed 🤦‍♀️If he had even tried to push it, it would have swung open. Pic from the other day.

It's trying to avoid tomatoes... But joke aside, the things that does it for me are new potatoes.

So it's just a digital ad-sign. We have those everywhere here too. I was just thrown off by it looking integrated with the dispenser.

What is the benefit of having digital slurpee machines? I rented a slush ice machine recently, and it was completely analogue. There were no functions I thought were missing.

My view while spinning. A spinning wheel in a light wood, in the process of spinning a blueish thread. Looking down on a pair of fat thighs in blue jeans. Closeup of the bobbin and flyer, in process of spinning a light blue wool. The already spun single includes several shades of blue and purple. Only a small portion has been spun. Peeping out from under the blue and purple are a white woolen leader and some remnants of undyed wool. A hank of two ply wool in shades of blue and purple lying on a wooden table with a clear vinyl tablecloth on. The yarn is uneven but fairly thin. Closeup of handspun two ply wool yarn in blue and purple tones on a wooden background. The yarn is uneven in both twist and thickness, but mostly of fingering to sportweight in thickness.

I have spun and plied yarn on a spinning wheel for the first time!
The wheel is my mom's, she got it in the 70'ies as a young teenager. It's handmade especially for her, one of a kind.
Wool was dyed by me. The plied yarn is plied from one single spun on a drop spindle and one on the wheel. #spinning

Wearing nice clothes and makeup for once 😊
Unfortunately any hairstyle other than ponytail is a sensory no-no currently, and I haven't had time to redo my colours. Would have looked rad with the pink, purple, blue and teal hair 🤩

I think they are quite good at formulating things. "Write this message in a way that won't offend anyone" or "give me a C# class that does the same as this python snippet". Those seem like good uses to me. The energy cost and people using them badly are the negatives imo.

Soon (1/4) we are going to hand off our old house to the buyer. It's a bit emotional to say goodbye, we've lived there for almost 10 years. But I'm also glad to be done with that part of the process, and really happy with our new house!

My dad and granddad just helped us empty out our sold house, so we can hand it off to the buyer soon. I'm grateful to have people like them in my life 💜

I'd read such a story... 😏

It has for a while. A guy I went to highschool with was caught in that stuff during the summer between 2nd and 3rd year. Luckily, he was saved. He spent a few months at a mental hospital, then had therapy for years. He missed a year of school, but he turned out fine. Most aren't that lucky...

My son today, his first day of school 🥰
Feels like yesterday he was a little baby, and now he's a 115 cm tall schoolboy 🥲
I have all the feels 🫠

A weaving project on a rigid heddle loom. The project is 80 cm wide and about 15 cm has been woven. It's a blue, white, teal and pink tartan pattern.

My new weaving project. I have woven 3 projects before, but they were all cotton. This is the first in wool, and the first tartan/plaid pattern. It's probably going to warp terribly 😅

No no, there are other options. Poison, for example.

Maybe. I was making a joke about Hans' Ø. 😅 (Also, beer is hydrating whether it's weak or not, strong beer just makes you drunk while hydrating you. I don't like beer so I won't make any judgement on which beer is any good.)

It's going to work out, you can buy our (Danish) beer instead! We have Carlsberg, Tuborg, Ceres, Albani, Harboe, Thisted and a bunch of micro breweries. I'm sure we can figure something out, maybe leaving it on an Arctic island?

Yes, I adjust the setting a lot, because I use it not just for reheating, but also for cooking. I defrost in it quite often, and that just works better at lower settings. The on-off cycling lets the heat distribute.

Tried okara patties with carrots and spring onion. 6/10, would try again. They turned out a little bland, I probably underseasoned them. Hubs liked them with sweet chilli sauce, I preferred soy sauce and sweet chilli mixed.

So, I made about 900g of tofu the other day. What are your favourite ways to use okara? I have made cake with it before (yum), but would like savoury dishes too. I'm not vegetarian, so meat dishes are welcome too.
