I don't think I've seen a spider like this before. I think it's some sort of running crab spider but I'm not sure on which specific one. I'm waiting for one of the spider experts on INaturalist to try and identify it. Thought they looked super cool tho.

Fishing spiders are cool. Here's a baby six spotted I found.
Furrows are fun, I had one that lived in the side mirror of my car for most of the summer. Took them to McDonald's a couple times and they held on the whole time lol.
This is a brickwork woodlouse. I found them hiding in between some stuff growing on the side of the house. I didn't notice the yellow markings until I ripped the photos from my camera, I thought it wS a fungus or something but I think they just look like that.

This is what I believe to be a furrow Orbweaver. They must've just caught a snack because they were munching on something.

I think they're under the genus Tetragnatha which I think is under the Tetragnathidae family.
Yes :)
A fishing spider I found at night.

The stretch spiders were out in mass last night here are my 2 favorite photos I was able to grab of these small friends.

Marking this graphic just cause it's a tick biting me. Found this tick on my thigh and my first thought was to get a photo lol. Nasty little thing must've got on me while I was sitting in grass at work.

Apparently the first spider I found is rare-ish. 2 people on INaturalist said it was an Emertons Wolf Spider which there are only a few observations of in my state. Neat!
Flipped a log and found some ant friends. I got lucky and managed to get both ants in frame at the same time.

These little guys were all over a barn. When I went searching on INaturalist it said they were a species of spider beetle. There were a ton of them and they were all very tiny.

I believe that is correct. That was my guess as well.
A ton of spiders were out wandering last night. The third spider is the biggest I've seen so far, they were actually spider sized instead of being cute lil baby.

This poor bug friend got themselves stuck on the barb of a dead raspberry bush. I thought they were stuck on a spiders web but when I took a closer look it appeared they somehow speared themself.

This is the last small spider I have for today. This small spider was dangling from it's web they were smaller than my finger so they must be fresh to this world. I wish the best to all my spider friends so I can photograph you when you get bigger.

Continuing with the theme of small spiders this spider I found crawling on a metal tomato basket. I take pictures at night so my photos are generally dark but the way the lighting hit this spider made them look grey/blue which I thought was cool.

All of the spiders I've found outside have been smaller than a dime. This is the smallest spider I've been able to photograph so far. I don't have very large hands so you cna imagine how small they actually are.

Took a bunch of photos of this sac spider last night while wandering around looking for bugs. All the spiders are so tiny they must've hatched recently.

Took a walk tonight and found this red-bellied snake in some dead grass.

Here's a funky friend I was playing with. Aren't they such a cutie. Woodlice have to be a top 5 bug of all time I look at them the same way I look at dogs.

Messing around at work and I found 8 million woodlice underneath a board. Also found some ants who were probably eating a worm.
So close to spring I can't wait to walk around at night and look for moths and spiders.
Apologies for no bug posts the winter is almost gone and spring has almost taken over. It's still supposed to snow this weekend and I've noticed a couple types of bugs have started to come out of their winter hidey holes. Hopefully spring will come and I can take many photos to show you all :)
I wish I could let my hair get that long but if I did it would make my job impossible when I have to crawl into places like this
I refuse to get a haircut just because of anxiety lol my hair is like 98% of my confidence
Here's a couple I photographed.
News scaring you? Take a break to look at some baby grasshoppers. They're so small and have such cute personalities. Taking pictures of them is fun as they'll look directly at you and try to hide behind leaves or the stem of the plant it's cute.

This tiny friend crawled onto my hand while I tried photographing it. Everyone I know calls them spit bugs but I don't actually know the scientific name of these Lil friends.
