Antigonism is a transfeminist mode of thought coined by @velvetvexations specifically for transfems that embrace solidarity with other trans people, as well as those who are intersex and the queer community in general, under the belief that it's vital to recognize we're all equally oppressed and capable of doing lateral harm to one another. ANTIGONE: You have made your choice, you can be what you want to be. But I will bury him, and if I must die, I say that this crime is holy. I shall lie down with him in death, and I shall be as dear to him as he to me.

I created this flag using a color pallet from one of my favorite scenes from Revolutionary Girl Utena, one that has always reminded me of Antigone and Polynice. The symbol in the center flag is an illustration of Antigone mourning Polynice at his grave. We are committed to sharing the same fate with our siblings, one way or another. Antigonists see us all as bound together, headed for the same destination, and we would not for a second ever want it to be otherwise no matter where that road leads.

Puberty was a fracturing event, but less to do with gender explicitly. I had been forcibly made aware of the complete lack of autonomy or agency over my body and identity. I learned from a young age that my body was the property of everyone but myself. This hostile treatment by society and state has persisted into adulthood, but as a child, every adult I came into contact with reinforced the truth that my selfhood was up for debate. Selfhood had to be earned through rigorous and opaque stress tests, because my own attempts at personhood were deemed annoying and intolerable disruptions. The early hints that I wasn't an investment which would bring returns to the people who owned me.

I was taught that my safety and needs were irrelevant, and the physical torture of puberty— becoming more physically legible to more people— helped seal this as fact. On a fundamental level, in spite of all my attempts to reify myself, I simply wasn't allowed humanity on my terms. It's true too that the doors of gender seemed to be closing, that its quiet comfort (of being a boy in my own head, in the woods, out of sight) now had to be loud and demanding, or I might not survive. And you know the rest: I couldn't even expect the cheap dignity of being called my own name.

Moreover... to the predator, the victim's audacity to assert their personhood, own their body, is a direct affront to the predator's control. The predator's needs must be catered to at all times. So a transgender child is simply inconceivable. "Taking away" the predator's property by making it transgender— ugly, misshapen, the boldness to be a real human instead of an idealised toy— is an act of defiance that must be suppressed.
