That has got it so wrong in so many ways, I don’t know where to start!

A cream dinner plate with small peach colour-flowers and a light brown circle close to the rim (1980’s Woolworths). On the plate is a small pile of mixed salad leaves and four fresh figs cut into quarters. You might think they are sprinkled with white mini-marshmallows, but no, those are goats’ cheese pearls. Drizzled over are a spoonful of balsamic vinegar and half a spoon of runny honey from my ex-colleague’s bees. Some black pepper has been grated on top.

Dinner plans changed slightly when I realised the figs needed eating up. I’m not crying about it. 😋
