If you’re in the UK and would like me to buy you a book - see this post.
It looks great!
No, it couldn’t.
I’m just doing the same at home with my new books!
😮
I can remember meals when she ate hardly anything and said she wasn’t hungry - we accepted that at the time, but as adults my older sister and I realised that she was having less so us kids had enough.
When the kitchen needed renovating (a cupboard fell off the wall!) she worked out if she baked bread instead of buying it, she could save enough for new cupboards in 18 months. She continued to bake it for years after that.
One of 6 kids (in the UK) and same. Mum made a lot of our clothes, had a vegetable patch in the garden, didn’t buy pre-made food - when my friend’s mum asked her how she would describe her cuisine she said “what can I make from a tin of tomatoes, an onion and whatever’s left in the fridge?”
How awful!
A thread of some good stuff to counter everything.
Thank you, Bee 💕
My first office job (early 1990s), I was warned not to get in the lift on my own with the director of another department.
Sounds reasonable to me.
Excellent!
Let’s reclaim it - I’m fed up of my favourite colours being taken over by awful people!
And collectors can get them all!

“You should” is not a request - it’s a demand. It’s I follow you therefore I’m entitled to tell you how you must interact with me.
Make a non-regrettable choice and have some chocolate!

To be fair, we have had it for nearly 30 years.
Husband has just messaged to say the microwave has started making a strange buzzing noise when being programmed. 😫
Is this the online version of telling a woman you pass in the street to smile?
When we got married we had the choice of using vows with me promising to obey or vows that didn’t include it. I liked some of the other wording in the former, but said I wasn’t going to start my married life with a promise I had no intention of keeping!
I’m away for the weekend, and brought three books with me so I have choice according to my mood.
I thought of you the moment I saw that!
Should we believe what they’ve been doing and saying for 2 years, or just the 2 months before the elections? 🤔
Dear Shabana,
Let's clear some things up around migration and remember we're talking about people's lives.
Important for those interacting with the NHS in England.
When people are granted refugee status, they are given just 28 days to find somewhere new to live.
‼️This isn't enough time for anyone.
Recently, the Government extended this period to 56 days as a trial.
We need this to be permanent!
