Empathy, compassion, tolerance, diversity and inclusion are supposed to be values we on the political and cultural left embrace.

My Husband and I went to an event last weekend that was attended by mostly MAGA types. Although we both felt very unsafe - due to the political leaning of the attendees and the probability that many were not fully vaccinated and boosted - we left as soon as possible without making it obvious.
