More shots from the QuitChatGPT protest.

I'm stuck down in Mission Bay today and there's a @quitchatgpt protest going on.

Honestly, AI should be democratic and open source.

OpenAI was a ruse from the start and Sam Altman can't be trusted. I don't understand why people use ChatGPT when Claude and Gemini exist.

I'm always amazed at how fast rats learn new tasks.

All three of mine picked up this new toy in an hour.

Every other treat puzzle box I've tossed them they've learned in a night or two. Some of those have two or 3 steps to get a treat.

Join me at Open Hardware Summit in Berlin this May.

Tickets are affordable and you'll come back a little more inspired that a better world is possible.

We're also still looking for sponsors who want to get their products in front of the open source community!

The fine folks at @moreperfectunion.bsky.social did a great job summarizing the history of the Bohemian Club and the work of some of its members.

TL;DR they helped gut social security and organized a sketchy conservative astroturf group here in SF.

The Bohemian Club is a secret society for the rich and powerful here in San Francisco.

Yesterday @drboguslaw.bsky.social dropped a list of its members.

Today we are releasing a searchable database of its members cross referenced with open source intelligence.🔎

We just found out our AI has been making up
analytics data for 3 months and I'm gonna
throw up.

So we've been using an Al agent since November to
answer leadership questions about metrics. It seemed
amazing at first fast answers, detailed explanations,
everyone loved it.
I just found out it's been hallucinating numbers this
entire time.
Our VP of sales made territory decisions based on
data that didn't exist. Our CFO showed the board a
deck with fake insights. The Al was just inventing
plausible sounding percentages.
I only caught it by accident when someone asked me
to double check something. I started digging, and
holy shit, it's bad.

lol this is gonna burst so fucking hard

2) OSU’s top donor was confirmed to be a co-conspirator of Epstein’s
3) Now this. 👇

These Peter Thiel backed startups have gone too far.

This one sells a "luxury security camera."

It is the kind if Monday where my coffee pot stops working, there are trolls in our forum, and American Democracy is in obvious decline.

one of the last frontiers
on earth."**

wikipedia turns 25 today! the last unenshittified major website! backbone of online info! triumph of humanity! powered by urge of unpaid randos to correct each other! somehow mostly reliable! "good thing wikipedia works in practice, because it sure doesn't work in theory" - old wiki adage

Woke up to two different data breach alerts.

I don't want your "free identity protection" I want you to stop fucking up.

This isn't going to change until companies have to pay for their failures.

Sick of YouTube ads? I know I am!

If you use a Roku to watch YouTube videos on your TV check out the Playlet Roku app. It strips YouTube videos of their ads and works surprisingly well.

Can someone please put together a company that aggregates the content from independent investigative journalists and allows you to support them using a single monthly payment.

This $5 here $2 there stuff is killing me. I'm sick to death of the scattered news environment.

I reset my Android ad ID the other day.

Why we allow Google to continue with this nonsense is beyond me.
