The makings of a great protest sign.

We saw the same tactics with Ron Ziegler (Nixon). Not new, but in many ways, WAY, way worse.

That made me laugh!

That was quite a show! I could see structures with the naked eye- something very unusual for MO.

Photo of northern lights from Missouri towards a house and tree. Very red β€œblob” with vertical striations in it. Faint green glow above the house.

Last photo I took tonight. I’ve never seen reds like this.

Kansas Redistricting Was on the Fast Track. Then Some Republicans Said No.

I just have to ask after reading this article...how much "help" do R's need in a 3:1 majority of districts? These moves are not about making it fair or even...same in MO with a 6:2 advantage. Good for some KS R's to push back at least for now.

I think, given subject matter and the global atmosphere today, this would be a very difficult film in which to act. Thank goodness there are actors like Shannon, Malek and Crowe who will take on the job and not "entertain" us, but educate and inform us.

β€˜Hermann GΓΆring loved his kids. That’s what’s terrifying’: James Vanderbilt, Rami Malek and Michael Shannon on Nuremberg Russell Crowe has a malevolent charm as the Nazi on trial in a compelling new film. His co-stars and director explain how they understood this monster – and the persistence of evil today

"He [Shannon] describes the experience of life in the US today as β€œa nightmare. America is a nightmare right now. The country is mentally ill. It needs help. ...It gets grimmer every day. I’ve never seen such dysfunction in my life. It’s really embarrassing.” "

Can't read the full article, but are you kidding me??? Think Michiganders (ex- M'gander here) need to be protected from this...jerk.

We used to have Fox Sparrows every winter. I haven't seen one in many years now. Loved watching them work the leaf litter- you can always tell them by the mess they make!

I remember it got little national coverage. If you lived in Michigan like I did, most of the focus was on the memorial service held in Detroit. It may be because we knew little about the circumstances of the disaster then, except that it was a huge storm. Now we know more and have better context.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

I don’t know how to express clearly enough how disempowering it is for the 8 Dem senators to have caved after the incredible victories of last week

@senatedemocrats.bsky.social Do you even know how bad this is?

It’s like you kicked us in the gut. Sold us out. The GOP will not save our healthcare

Durbin, Kaine, King- the 3 biggest disappointments for me and of these? King is the worst. I have admired him a lot over the years. We won’t forget.

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

As I've always said,Β I will not support a government funding bill that continues to raise our costs, jeopardizes our health care, and hurts the people of myΒ state.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.
