i’ve been really struggling to come up with a tagline for my weird lil audio app for this exact reason, caus it’s definetly like… a procedural generative audio scripting environment! but using those words feels tainted now and other terms are, as you say, way less descriptive ;;
this is such a mood, people hear even me say “shader art” now and assume it’s some ai thing
i think like the others have said “procedural art” is probably the correct term but i’ve just been calling it creative coding which feels less “computer does it by itself” caus it has a verb in it idk
every time I see one I get new cable management ideas and go rearrange my own, its a good form of encouragement

got so drunk a few days ago i pulled out my laptop and started writing rust by choice
i own kontakt 6, the vst is just called “kontakt” but newer ones it’s “kontakt 7/8” so ableton reports missing plug-ins caus the names don’t match…
can still install 6 but instruments won’t load in it caus they’ve been updated for 7/8
old projects all broken and cant make new ones, yay :))))))
i’m a lil mad they seem to want me to pay for a kontakt update to use libraries i already bought after they updated them to a newer version that won’t load in the kontakt i own
been using stock multisampler in new projects since then when possible tbh
