It starts to get messier. My father was born in Kenya, as was I. Thus my passport indicating “high end” UK citizenship (“Holder has right of abode in the United Kingdom.”) needed paperwork back to my grandparents on my father’s side. (At that time mothers were irrelevant. 🤣)
