This is a very long shot but did you check pet GPS? I have one for my dog and it's very very accurate, I feel like you might be able to download the GPS positions afterwards because I have access to historical data

As part of the @tricuso.bsky.social project, we deployed a profiling float equipped with a passive acoustic sensor and showed that wind speed can be retrieved from subsurface ambient noise with good agreement to buoy observations.

This morning we were introduced to the CaPASOS pCO2 sensor by the @exeter.ac.uk team, and then got to build a lite version ourselves to understand how it works. From bubbling the equilibrator to testing calibration with reference gas! ๐Ÿซงโš—๏ธ

Thatโ€™s the only downside you have to go get it in most scenarios. So in most areas itโ€™s fine but if youโ€™re putting it on a mooring in the Southern Ocean you have to hope you can embark to go get it!

In the afternoon, we spent time with the @noc.ac.uk team to get hands-on with their Lab-On-Chip systems for DIC and TA โ€” miniaturized chemical analyzers that can perform complex carbonate chemistry measurements.

Never been more motivated to write grants so I can buy all these shiny new toys ๐Ÿ’ธ
