Rad to see fantastic novel by @jonvhickey.bsky.social getting praise in the alumni mag On Wisconsin. I read the book and met the author at reading at Sausalito library. Super gracious and thoughtful person getting well-deserved recognition. Get the book, it’s good!

Also Midwest Federal. They closed suddenly in 1989 during the Savings and Loan Crisis. It’s giving me the nostalgia because my grandparents did their banking there. But I also miss the style (and the old midway!)

Did my brother and I know, as we watched this air in 1998, that we would refer to it in roughly 50% of our conversations nearly 30 years later? Yes, yes we did

The Blue Jays took on a team with some of the greatest players to have ever played the game and they took them to seven, and that one was a duel until the end. So much respect

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day!

If you haven’t read Big Chief by @jonvhickey.bsky.social yet, you need to! It’s a political thriller that takes place on a reservation in Wisconsin. Powerful themes on what it means to belong. Couldn’t put it down, couldn’t stop thinking about it. Highly recommend! 📚

This sounds like the heavily researched book version of every conversation I’ve had with my brothers over the last 35 years

It’s interesting to watch Get Back, which was filmed while TMC was being filmed. Peter Sellers shows up for an awkward hang with the band. Really think the explanation is drugs + toxic levels of fame = this
