Just a fun warm up piece I worked on here and there to break off some rust! I don't do primary palettes very often, but quite enjoyed it here.

Wish I could tell that prof that I really sat with it and never forgot it, but I don't remember her full name and I'm not sure I could find it now.

Anyway, just watched this film for the first time since then, ~15 years later. I remembered it was good, didn't know it was this great. Top 5 film.

You should watch Harold and Maude (1971).

I was shown this film in a college English class and in the discussion after the film, the professor pressed us down about worming away from legitimizing their relationship. She dressed us down and we deserved it and I'm glad she did.

20 small ceramics pieces, mostly cups, arranged on a fire ring lid. The glazes on the ceramics range from warm orange earth tones, various shades of turquoise, some reds, blues, and pinks.

Been getting into ceramics some this year (when I can manage to steal the time for it), finally got a big batch of pieces that I'd been sitting on for a couple months finished up!

Pretty happy with a lot of these, gonna do a store drop for a dozen pieces from this batch on Patreon soon.

Setting aside the content under the tarp for a moment, teens were asked to make art expressing what it is like to be a teen, and the end result was a mural wrapped in a tarp by adults.

I bet a lot of teens would find this expressive of their experience.

Went on our longest camping trip yet recently! Here's a piece I'm working on finishing up from it, based on a photo I took while exploring an arroyo.

Excited at the possibility that personal websites might become a thing again. I grew up in the era of custom domains, creative site design and webrings and I miss it all.

I k ow more than a couple people who have lost literally thousands of dollars because they ran a crowdfund or something and then PayPal froze their account before they could get it out. PayPal can freeze your account for literally any reason at any time. Don’t keep money there.

A simple piece I did to experiment with some different mediums and how they would interact. I think this had various layers of acrylic gouache, posca paint pens, and wax pastels.

they consider the most chaste depiction of a queer relationship, or an openly trans person, to be porn and they want it banned

HIGHLY recommended read, since I've been getting involved in grassroots organizations and also just from being in fandom most of my life, I realize exactly how much power is held by being able to organize so learning these specific kind of skills is invaluable!!
