It's hilarious. We haven't reached a sound definition of what consciousness is and are leaping to claim that predictive text generator has gained consciousness.
This is the good news!
The "intelligence gap" is real. Right now, a developer with a $200/mo API budget has a massive advantage over one who doesn't.
We don't just need better AI; we need high-quality Open Source models that actually beat Claude etc. Talent should win, not the biggest wallet.

Everything revolves around being a paid user. Without paying, your posts don't reach as many people. I like the IndieHacker crowd, but a lot of the platform has lower quality and bot filled vibes. Still exploring BlueSky, but more than the features, the crowd here is appealing.
I made the mistake of signing up on X as a Indie hacker. Made a payment that went into a blackhole. Never felt the platform was any good except for the large Indie Hacker community. But learnt my lesson. Hopefully doors to BlueSky always remain open.
