This summer, #Kenya’s Gen Z protests resulted in #Ruto’s government reigning terror on its citizens. This level of state violence reoccurs because of the culture of impunity. @hrw.org and Amnesty’s report shows how there’s still no accountability for state crimes in the 2023 protests.

For all the outrage I expect to see in the coming years, this decision will be etched in my brain. It’s odious and meant to convey an intentional cruelty.
