Pombon alone may make me get a Switch 2 next year. Nintendo found my weakness.

I love pomeranians and pokemon.

I was working in grocery and Kroger told us we werent allowed to wear masks! They didnt want us to make customers uncomfortable at that point.

We know a lot more now, for sure.

Obviously it feels a lot more likely when it actually hits you. I just had the bad luck to get it first wave.
March 2020 and still have it, though improved since the worst of it.

Some days, nothing I attempt to draw comes out right; There's some disconnect between my hand's coordination and my mind's ability to grasp shape and lines.
That's ok. I know it's temporary.

Maybe I need to just lose myself in a book or video game, art that others have created, and reset.

Surely they could use fish sauce if they're patient enough for fermentation.

I've been learning Nomad Sculpt for a while, but took a break to make a quick 2D partial horse sketch in the hope that it will help me sculpt the 3D shapes of horse heads better. They're such weird animals.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

I have family stories about the reasons my ancestors came over (always pure and with hard work and sacrifice-- the usual American myths) but I don't assume they're true.

There are now videos and courses on how to make videos and courses to grift, so that's getting full now too.

fwiw, I've used Affinity (v1, v2, on iPad and Windows and now V3 on Windows that released end of 2025) and I really enjoy them!

V2 Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher may still be free on iPad (V3 set to release "soon"), and the V3 Windows and Mac are free now.

Mayflower and Mormons, mostly.

I always wonder if the women who ended up in Utah/Idaho knew about polygamy before they were pressured into it.

Affinity is free now with a completely optional subscription to use canva ai features.

If you don't want to pay, you don't have to, and you'll basically be getting an updated version of Affinity Suite in one program.

The same team is still working on Affinity in Nottingham.

I'm enjoying #NomadSculpt a lot.
But. I know I'm not at full potential because there are entire menus I'm not touching.

It's *super* easy for me to jump between 2D #art programs and I have to keep reminding myself that I can't know everything immediately here when there's a whole new D involved.

Unfriendly reminder, AI is being used to destroy trust. Do not normalize the use of AI. AI can not reliably enhance videos or low-quality images.

This is the quiet replacement of reality. Do not let this be normalized.

I just made an account to check it out. Lack of website access (app-only) is ridiculous. Videos are set to auto-play by default. I'm getting what essentially looks like religious and racist FB posts but mostly not english in the feed right now. It's not a strong first impression, tbh.
