Honestly I'm conflicted as hell because I like this game but, it also felt like the least amount of money put into a Tales Of game. The sheer amount of skits was so egregious they were truncating entire character backgrounds to them.

It's not really my movie of the year but it was good!

As someone who read the book, I think the only sour note was the ending, it otherwise felt like a really faithful adaptation but with Edgar Wright's stylings/humor.

Also Glen Powell and Colman Domingo kind of fucking crushed it lol.

That said I also don't know how I would have done it differently, need to make a trailer to advertise a movie after all. 🤷

Honestly it's the kind of twist that makes the reading experience special, I really didn't know what to expect going in, and I'm just very sad that less people will be able to have the same special experience I did reading it. 😢

Project Hail Mary getting an official film adaptation feels like such a double edged sword.

On the one hand it's looking like a really damn faithful adaptation, I'm very much looking forward to it.

On the other hand there's an, admittedly early on twist that's completely ruined by the trailers.

I love that game, def one of my GOTYs, but after finishing it I hard-called it getting multiple nominations and likely a live musical performance because it just feels like that kind of game that Keighly would love to annoyingly embellish the shit out of.
