He caught his first rape charge the same year the victim at the center of his second case was born.

This was a coordinated and calculated effort to silence a victim of sexual assault who happened to be their own blood relative.

Family members turning their backs on their own to protect registered sex offenders is a tale that is far too common. Particularly amongst the black community. Do better.

For five years, members of Ms. Holmes’ family attempted to cover up this event to prevent Roy Holmes Jr. from possibly facing his third and final strike.

Why was the restraining order filed? It was filed as a retaliatory measure by Ms. Holmes in an attempt to silence the respondent after she sent a series of emails notifying their family of what her sister disclosed to her that Roy B. Holmes had done.

In Oct ‘23, the wife of Roy Holmes Jr. filed a baseless temporary restraining order against the sister of one of her husband’s victims (who also happened to be her own 1st cousins). Below is the response to that filing.

The restraining order ended up being dismissed shortly after this filing.

Roy B Holmes Jr. was convicted in 1999 of committing forcible rape through intimidation and fear. This was his first offense of this nature, and he has not changed.

A police report was filed against him in 2023 regarding a sexual assault he allegedly committed in 2016. The victim? His alleged wife’s younger cousin.
