La politisation de la guerre et la militarisation des élections font craindre que, plutôt que d'assimiler la paix aux élections, les accords inclusifs n'aient bien pu entrelacer la politique de guerre et la politique électorale.

Les événements depuis novembre 2021, notamment l'émergence de l'alliance AFC/M23 et le boycott des élections par les principaux partis politiques, mettent en évidence l'échec de l'AGI à établir la politique institutionnelle comme seule voie légitime vers le pouvoir.

Le clivage entre ceux qui ont hérité d'une lutte politique non armée et ceux qui ont accédé au pouvoir par le biais de mouvements armés a façonné la polarisation politique récente.

Les accords de partage du pouvoir, longtemps considérés comme une voie vers la paix, ont involontairement renforcé un système où l'inclusion elle-même devient une ressource stratégique, diluant la compétitivité politique.

The politicization of the war and the militarization of elections raise the concern that rather than equating peace with elections, inclusive agreements might well have intertwined war politics with electoral politics.

Developments since November 2021—including the emergence of the AFC/M23 alliance, and boycott of the elections by major political parties—highlight the failure of the AGI to establish institutional politics as the only legitimate path to power.

The divide between those who inherited an unarmed political struggle and those who rose to power through armed movements has shaped recent political polarization.

Power-sharing agreements, long seen as a pathway to peace, have inadvertently reinforced a system where inclusion itself becomes a strategic resource, diluting political competitiveness.
