Clovis managed to get our roses in the ground today before the rain started.
These last few months have been one of the hardest seasons of our marriage as we lost my mom in January and then his father in April. Someone sent these as a memorial to our parents, and he knows flowers bring me joy.

This office has handled the investigation of every civil rights complaint we have filed related to our children since our oldest son started school in Louisiana. Additionally, our family is one of the 1,000+ that has a complaint currently pending that is now in jeopardy.
The Department of Education Dallas Office is regional and serves multiple states. As an educator and as parents, Clovis and I have had a working relationship with these professionals for nearly two decades.
At some point we're going to have a talk about how they timed the Department of Education layoffs to coincide with the 5 year anniversary of the COVID school shutdowns...

The New Mexico Department of Health has declared a measles outbreak in Lea County. The decision came after two adults in the county tested positive for the disease, bringing this week’s total of unrelated cases up to three.

In the last three weeks, 48 cases of measles have been identified, sending 13 patients to the hospital, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services. The number of cases has doubled in the last 3 days.

No one is immune from disability. It can happen to anyone at anytime, regardless of how 'young and healthy' you are.
Stop believing you will be the exception, and start engaging in disability justice. It's far easier to fight for better support and treatment while you still have your health.
